The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is perhaps the most significant of all events celebrating the mystique of Historic Cars.

The Concorso Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 will be staged on the weekend of 23-25 May over the grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and neighboring Villa Erba at Lake Como in Cernobbio, Italy. The 2014 edition will again see an intimate selection of 50 historic cars built between the twenties and the seventies, organized by different categories.
An exclusive panel of judges led by president Lorenzo Ramaciotti judges for the Best of Show prize, the BMW Group Trophy. This is defined for an extraordinary automobile, which expresses beauty, passion and uniqueness. The public at Villa d’Este forms a key element in the drama of the Concorso as they reward participants with applause and cast their votes. The Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este is the most traditional prize of the Concorso and the award is decided by a public vote.
The first edition of the Concorso Eleganza was held for the first time on 1st September 1929 under the name of “Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este” following a joint initiative undertaken by the Automobile Club of Como, the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and the Comitato di Cura di Como, and, for this reason, it’s an event that expresses a deep tradition.
The incomparable location of Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and Villa Erba in Cernobbio , the impeccable hospitality, the efficient organization, an enthusiastic audience, the public awareness in the international press and TV, and above all, the elegance, the originality and state of preservation of the precious automobiles participating in the event make this an authentic aristocracy appointment!

Book your stay in one of our Lake Como accommodations and participate to the most exclusive event of the year!
